Vitor Ribeiro, who was also called Shaolin, is retired mixed martial artist. Lightweight division is the field in which he commenced his career. He professionally competed for; Shooto, DREAM, Cage Force, world fighting Alliance, K-1 HEROS and also cage range. Ribeiro won various titles including Shooto World Light Weight and Cage Rage Lightweight.
His name became known in different parts of world immediately he commenced participating in mixed martial arts. His name was not known only because he took part in these sports, but because he performed excellently. He is actually, one of the best grapplers in Mixed Martial Arts. Ribeiro is also known by the name Shaolin. His fellow training partners started calling him this name while was training at BJJ.
The man was only 14 years when he commenced his career. Shaolin joined gym after fighting with another kid while in school. The anger of being beaten by the kid triggered him to commence attending gym. In fact, he commenced going to a gym only a few weeks after fight. His talent was discovered immediately he stated taking part in competitions. By the time he was 17 years old, he had won world championships. He was then placed second in the nationals and also in Pan Ams.
This ability of defeating adults, confirmed that he was actually a very talented young man. His coaches and mentors worked tirelessly hard so as to make him great in mixed martial arts. His winning spirit was boosted after winning black belt when he was 18. Spectacular performance made him shine greatly while participating in Brazilian Nationals.
